Continuing the discussion started in the webinar, Understanding Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in People Involved with the Criminal Justice System, this webinar addresses the practical application of tips for working successfully with people in the criminal justice system who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DDs). To navigate this topic, Ariel Simms, senior program manager at the Arc of the United States, discusses the laws that guide responses to people with I/DDs, what those laws mean in practice, and resources and services available when working with a population with these unique needs.
